Khaberni - Sponsored by Her Excellency Minister of Social Development, Ms. Wafa Bani Mustafa, the Balqa Governorate celebrated International Volunteer Day in cooperation with the Union of Charitable Societies / Balqa. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Greater Salt Municipal Committee and the Deputy Governor of Balqa, Mr. Ali Bataineh, along with several excellencies, dignitaries, and representatives of official institutions.
During the ceremony, the President of Amman Ahliyya University, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, received a commemorative shield in recognition of the university’s role and efforts in supporting volunteer work and enhancing the culture of social responsibility.
Accompanying the university president at the event was the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Mustafa Attiyat, highlighting the university's participation as a reaffirmation of its commitment to its community role and its keenness to encourage its students to engage in volunteer initiatives, contributing to community service and fostering values of giving and national belonging.
Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan emphasized that International Volunteer Day embodies values of giving and social responsibility, noting that Amman Ahliyya University pays special attention to volunteer work and strives to instill it among its students as part of its vision in serving the community and achieving sustainable development.
He added that this role comes with the support and guidance from the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and his deputy, Mr. Omar Al-Hourani, appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Social Development, Balqa Governorate, and the Union of Charitable Societies, and affirming that this honor is a recognition for the entire university community.
