Khaberni - Syrian authorities announced on Wednesday the capability of the Drug Enforcement Branch in the desert to arrest the person known as "M.R", after receiving precise information indicating his involvement in smuggling narcotics to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan using balloons equipped for aerial smuggling.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated that surveillance and field investigation led to the arrest of the suspect with the balloons in his possession, along with batteries and radios used in smuggling operations.
The ministry also mentioned that all confiscated items were seized and referred to the competent authorities, and the arrested individual was referred to the competent judiciary for legal proceedings.
