Khaberni - The British newspaper "The Sun" reported the details of a tragic accident that claimed the life of former German footballer Sebastian Hertner (34 years old), following a horrific fall from a ski lift at the Durmitor mountain resort in Montenegro.
The newspaper confirmed that Hertner, who had played in the German second division, fell from a height of 225 feet (about 70 meters) after his ski lift seat slid backward for a long distance before colliding with the seat behind it, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
"The Sun" added that the player's wife, aged 30, miraculously survived but was trapped in the broken seat for several hours before rescue teams could reach her, where she sustained a leg fracture and severe psychological trauma from the accident that occurred during their winter holiday.
The club he represented mourned Hertner with heartfelt words through its official account on "Instagram", describing his departure as a shocking tragedy.
