Khaberni - The US Embassy in Amman announced that it will be closed during official business hours from Wednesday today until next Sunday, resuming its operations as usual on the following Monday.
The embassy clarified in a statement that emergency assistance services for American citizens in Jordan will remain available outside of business hours by calling +962 6 590-6500.
It noted that the embassy is located in the Um Uthaina area, number 37 in the capital Amman, and indicated that the emergency number during business hours is +962 6 590-6000, while the number +962 6 590-6500 is designated for emergencies after hours.
The embassy invited those seeking more information to visit its website or contact the US Department of State – Consular Affairs.
