Khaberni - A court sentenced a young Croatian man to 50 years of imprisonment today, Tuesday, after he was convicted of stabbing a 7-year-old student to death in a school attack that shocked Croatia, where crimes like this are rarely seen.
The attack, which occurred on December 20, 2024, at Brico Elementary School in Zagreb, also injured three other students and a teacher.
The attacker, 20 years old, known by his initials "L. M.", who was 19 years old at that time, entered his former school with a knife and stabbed the children and the teacher, attempting suicide afterwards.
Police said last year that he lived around the school, and the sentence issued by a panel of judges at the district court in Zagreb can be appealed.
