Khaberni - The Israeli occupation army has once again infiltrated, on Tuesday, into the old Bariqa village in the countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria.
An Israeli force consisting of three white "Hilux" vehicles infiltrated through the entrance of the town of Bir Ajam and headed towards the old Bariqa village, where its elements spread out and stationed near the residents of the village, as reported by the "SANA" agency.
The Syrian television also mentioned that the Israeli army arrested two individuals from the Bariqa village in the countryside of Quneitra.
Earlier today, an Israeli force consisting of three "Hummer" vehicles, in addition to a taxi (taxi) from Tel Al-Ahmar, took the route to the village of Kodana, arriving at the Youth Housing Area, a collection of abandoned residential buildings located southeast of Bariqa village, and conducted a search of the buildings, before continuing its movement eastward towards Rasem Sand area, and then to Abu Qubeis hill adjacent to Ain Zivan village.
Since the fall of the previous Syrian regime on December 8th, Israel has abandoned the 1974 ceasefire and its forces have infiltrated the demilitarized zone over several months.
Israel also deployed troops and military equipment in southern Syria, exceeding the buffer zone, including the strategic observation point at Mount Hermon.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he "wants to establish a demilitarized zone from Damascus to Mount Hermon," a proposal rejected by the Syrian side.
While 6 rounds of talks mediated by the US between Syrian and Israeli officials have not resulted in a security agreement aimed at stabilizing the border area, noting that the negotiations ceased since September 2025, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, the United States continues to press for a security agreement between the two countries, while warning at the same time of destabilizing Syria.
