Khaberni - The head of the Zarqa Municipality Committee, Engineer Khaled Al-Khashman, announced the termination of the Autopark system within the city, effective from Sunday, 28/12/2025, which involves not renewing or extending the Autopark contract.
Al-Khashman confirmed that this decision came in response to the demands of the citizens, stemming from the municipality's commitment to alleviate the burden on the people of Zarqa and the business owners, and to organize the traffic reality in a way that ensures fairness and the public interest, away from any additional burdens on the citizens.
He indicated that the decision is clear and ends the ongoing debate about Autopark, asserting that the next phase will witness alternative solutions for parking management that consider the needs of the city and serve the commercial movement without imposing additional costs on the citizens.
Al-Khashman emphasized that the Zarqa Municipality will remain biased towards the voice of the citizen, and operates according to a participatory approach that prioritizes the interests of the city and its people.
