Al-Hussein Irbid team achieved a victory over its guest, Turkmen Ahhal by a score of 3-1, in the match that took place this evening at the International Amman Stadium in the last round of the group stage of the Asian Champions League 2.
Al-Hussein Irbid topped the third group, raising his points to 9, thus securing the qualification card for the quarter-finals, while Sepahan Isfahan of Iran came second with 7 points, and Turkmen Ahhal third with one point, noting that the group was limited to three teams after the withdrawal of Mohun Bagan Super Janet from India and the cancellation of its results.
Al-Hussein's goals were scored by Youssef Abu Jalbush at minute 65, and Odeh Al-Fakhouri at minutes 74 and 80, while the only goal for Ahhal was scored by their captain, Aman Tagayev, at minute 53.
The draw for the quarter-finals is scheduled to be held next Tuesday at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
