Khaberni - The Egyptian Civil Protection Forces succeeded in extracting two injured persons from under the debris of a residential building that collapsed in the Imbaba area, resulting in a total of six injured in the incident, all of whom were transferred to hospitals for the necessary medical care.
The security services in Egypt had received a report from residents about the collapse of a four-story building in the jurisdiction of the Imbaba police station, and immediately, the Civil Protection Forces and detectives moved to the site of the incident, where search and rescue operations began amidst a state of high alert.
The rescue teams managed to pull the injured from underneath the rubble using heavy machinery, while relevant authorities continued to comb the site of the building to ensure that no other persons were trapped under the debris.
On its part, the security forces imposed a security cordon around the collapsed building to ensure the safety of citizens and to prevent residents from approaching during rescue operations. The detective teams also began gathering information and data necessary to determine the causes of the collapse, in preparation for taking necessary legal measures.
The competent authorities continue to monitor the health condition of the injured, while investigations continue to uncover the circumstances of the incident and to determine whether there was negligence or structural violations that led to the building's collapse.
