The head of Zarqa Municipal Committee, Engineer Khalid Al-Khashman, announced the termination of the Autopark system within the city, and the contract will not be renewed or extended as of Sunday, 28 / 12 / 2025.
Al-Khashman confirmed that this decision was made in response to the demands of the citizens, and reflects the municipality's commitment to alleviate the burdens on the people of Zarqa and business owners, and to organize the traffic situation in a way that ensures fairness and public interest, without imposing additional burdens on the citizens.
Al-Khashman pointed out that the decision clearly ends the ongoing controversy around the Autopark, asserting that the next phase will witness alternative solutions for parking management that consider the needs of the city and support the commercial movement without imposing additional costs on the citizens.
Al-Khashman concluded by reaffirming that the Zarqa Municipality will remain aligned with the voice of the citizens, and operates according to a participatory approach that prioritizes the interests of the city and its people.
