Khaberni - Stemming from Amman Arab University's commitment to supporting the entrepreneurship and innovation system, and enhancing the role of faculty members in empowering students and building their creative capacities, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wydian, the University President, in the presence of Ms. Nadia Al-Qudimat, the Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Samer Ayasra, Director of the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, honored faculty and administrative members who participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, in appreciation of their efforts and active contributions to the success of the activities and programs implemented during the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, which contributed to enhancing the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among students and the local community.
The recognition included faculty members from the College of Business, College of Engineering, and College of Information Technology, in appreciation of their academic and practical contributions to presenting workshops and specialized sessions, and for their outstanding efforts in organizing and executing entrepreneurial events. The honor also included departments that directly contributed to the success of the week's events, namely the Office of the President and the Department of Media and Public Relations, in recognition of their role in providing support and coordination, monitoring events, and media coverage that effectively highlighted the events and achieved their goals.
On this occasion, Dr. Al-Wydian emphasized during the recognition ceremony that the university prioritizes entrepreneurship and innovation as strategic priorities within its academic and developmental plans, due to their pivotal role in preparing students who possess creative thinking skills and the ability to transform ideas into entrepreneurial projects that contribute to the national economy and the job market. He also stressed the importance of joining efforts among different colleges and departments, and enhancing teamwork to ensure the sustainability of entrepreneurial initiatives and expand their impact within and outside the university.
Dr. Ayasra commended the constructive collaboration that contributed to achieving remarkable success for the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 activities, affirming that this success reflects the university community's awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship culture and innovative work, and their role in consolidating entrepreneurial practices within the university campus and enhancing their presence in the local community.
It is worth mentioning that this year, Amman Arab University received the Global Entrepreneurship Week Outreach Impact Award 2025, becoming the only private Jordanian university to have won this award, in recognition of its distinguished efforts in reaching the local community and implementing tangible impact entrepreneurial initiatives during the Global Entrepreneurship Week, reflecting its leading role in serving the community and enhancing the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.
