Khaberni - The Cabinet decided in its session held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, to approve an agreement to settle the debt of King Abdullah University Hospital relating to medical treatments.
According to the agreement, the government will pay 10 million dinars to the hospital during this month, and it will commit to paying an amount of 3 million dinars monthly starting from the beginning of next year; until the full amount is paid, estimated at about 39,600 million dinars, which contributes to enabling the hospital to continue providing its services.
The decision is part of the government's efforts to settle all accumulated arrears from previous years for various entities, as the government has paid approximately 600 million dinars out of more than one billion dinars accumulated previously since its formation in September 2024, and will work to settle the remaining amount over the next three years.
