Khaberni - The Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Samirat and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Government Communication Zaid Al-Nawaiseh hold a meeting with media representatives titled (Government Technology) at twelve noon on Tuesday at the Ministry of Government Communication.
The meeting will discuss the performance results of Jordan in the Government Technology Maturity Index (GTMI) for the current year, issued by the World Bank Group, highlighting the key indicators and figures achieved by Jordan and what they reflect in terms of progress in the government digital transformation path.
The ministry has invited journalists and workers in licensed media and journalistic institutions who are interested in attending the meeting to arrive at its headquarters fifteen minutes before the scheduled time and show the necessary document proving their employment in any media outlet.
The World Bank's 2025 report reveals Jordan's progress in the government digital maturity index, where it is classified in the category (A), which is the highest category of maturity in the government digital transformation, reflecting the kingdom's advancement in digitizing the public sector and enhancing the efficiency of government services according to the report monitored by the kingdom.
According to the report, Jordan scored an overall rating of 91.4% on the index, placing it 21st globally, and fourth in the Arab world after Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE, positioning the kingdom among the most advanced countries in government digital practices both regionally and internationally.
On the level of detailed axes, Jordan's performance showed a strong balance across the four areas measured by the index, which are the core government systems and shared digital infrastructure (CGSI): at 89.3%, the delivery of public services online and open data (PSDI): at 95.2%, digital citizen engagement (DCEI): at 90.1%, and digital government enablers (GTEI): at 91.1%
