Khaberni - Brazilian star Neymar da Silva will undergo knee surgery, after his contract with Santos club ended at the end of last season.
The French newspaper L'Equipe reported that the physician for the Brazilian national team, Rodrigo Lasmar, will perform an arthroscopic procedure to treat Neymar's meniscal cartilage injury, which has affected his performance in recent matches of the Brazilian league.
As a result of this surgery, Neymar will be absent from the field until early February, and the 33-year-old player hopes to recover and return to participate in the 2026 World Cup with the Brazilian national team, currently without him under the leadership of coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Reports confirm that Neymar is likely to extend his contract with Santos for an additional 6 months.
During the last season, Neymar played in 28 matches with Santos, scoring 11 goals and making 4 assists.
