Khaberni - National football team player, Amer Jamoos, confirmed on Monday that his injury was the result of the great effort caused by the consecutive matches in the Arab Cup, indicating that the medical examinations were reassuring, and that his health condition is good and he will return to participate strongly in the upcoming commitments.
Jamoos added via "Al-Mamlaka" that the match pressure was high as the matches were held every two days, which posed a great burden on the players, expressing his gratitude for the technical and medical staff who played a major role in dealing with these circumstances.
He explained that one of the reasons for the national team's success in the Arab Cup was the effort exerted by all parties, as matters are not limited to technical aspects only, but there was also medical and administrative work behind the scenes that contributed to the players' quick recovery.
Jamoos confirmed that the national team was close to winning the title, adding: "We were the best team in the tournament, but it was the small details that prevented us from winning the title."
He stated that "before traveling to Qatar, we pledged within the camp that our goal was to win the championship, and our focus was on reaching the final, and our eyes were on winning the title."
Jamoos mentioned that in the national team there is no main player and another substitute, but everyone is equal in terms of level, and the technical director was distinguishing between the players.
He added: "Each player in the national team knows their duties and follows the instructions, and this reflects the strength of the Jordanian player."
Jamoos also talked about the national team's victory over Egypt in the Arab Cup, indicating that this victory was proof that all the national team players are ready to perform at a high level at any time.
He continued to talk about the match against Iraq, describing it as the toughest, especially due to the psychological impact of Yazan Al-Naimat's injury on the team, but the Nashama managed to adapt to the situation thanks to the high team spirit.
Jamoos mentioned that the technical director Jamal Salami brought some former players like Hatem Trabelsi, Yousef Chippo, and Tarek Al-Ghalemah to support the team psychologically after Al-Naimat's injury.
He said that these players spoke with the national team about the importance of winning the title and that this opportunity should be historic for them.
About the final match against Morocco, Jamoos said that the early goal scored by the Moroccan team affected the players' morale, but they came back strong in the second half, adding "despite that, there were some small details that denied us the title."
Jamoos pointed out that Jamal Salami reassured him between halves that this opportunity cannot be repeated and that they must return with full strength, even though they could not come back and win the match.
Jamoos expressed his thanks to the Jordanian fans who stood by the national team throughout the tournament, whether in the stands or at home.
