Forbes Top 10 Cars of 2025

2025 passed remarkably swiftly, a year filled with transformations and trials, and with the launch of cars that clearly reflected the rapidly changing face of the industry. From bold electric vehicles to luxury sedans, from practical family options to models that prioritized emotion over numbers, this year was rich with contrasting and thrilling driving experiences.

This list, reported by "Forbes" last Thursday, does not necessarily include the strongest or the most expensive, but rather the cars that made a real impression, succeeded in combining performance, personality, and ease of use, or simply offered an unforgettable experience during a full year of testing.

1 - BMW 5-Series (BMW 5-Series)
The BMW 5-Series, especially the 550e plug-in hybrid version, is one of the most balanced cars in its class. Unlike the 330e model which features a four-cylinder engine, the 550e relies on a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine from the B58 family combined with an electric motor to produce a total power of 482 horsepower and 700 Newton meters of torque. During testing, the car achieved a consumption rate of up to 67 miles per gallon with a fully charged battery, making it an ideal family car that combines spaciousness, strong performance, and high efficiency.

2 - Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally (Ford Mach-E Rally)
Previous versions of the Mach-E did not make a strong impression until the bold "Rally" version appeared. With its sporty design, RS touches, and striking color, this car redefines fun in the electric car category. The car is based on the GT version with 480 horsepower and 701 pound-feet of torque, but its real distinction lies in the Rally driving mode that adjusts the suspension system and softens the throttle response, allowing enjoyable slides on unpaved roads. It's a rare, bold, and full-of-character car.

3 - Genesis GV60 (Genesis GV60)
Genesis GV60 presents the concept of luxury at a price lower than traditional competitors. Although it is not a low-cost car, it provides clear value for its features and quality, and the basic rear-wheel-drive version proved remarkably efficient. With consumption ranging from 2.9 to 3.2 miles per kilowatt-hour, and an average of 3.1 at the end of the test period, with an actual range of up to 263 miles, the car needed recharging only twice after traveling more than 500 miles.

4 - Rolls-Royce Phantom (Rolls-Royce Phantom)
Since the launch of the eighth generation in 2017, the design of the Rolls-Royce Phantom has not undergone radical changes, which is understandable given its majestic presence. Just one week behind its wheel was enough to understand the meaning of absolute luxury. Despite the difficulty of parking it in cities, the driving experience remains exceptional, as it feels like driving a mobile royal lounge, imposing its respect quietly and confidently.

5 - Bentley Flying Spur V8 Hybrid (Bentley Flying Spur V8 PHEV)
The Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid embodies a rare mix of luxury and sporty performance. Thanks to its twin-turbo V8 engine and electric motor, the total power reaches 771 horsepower, with acceleration from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds. Despite these figures, the car achieved a consumption of up to 61 miles per gallon with a charged battery, and a total range of 460 miles.

6 – Alpine A290 GTS (Alpine A290 GTS)
Alpine A290 GTS might seem an unexpected choice in this list, but it is included because it is different. It is not the most practical or efficient, but it is the most emotionally stimulating. With its bold design, light weight, and playful character, it has left a clear emotional impact, despite the frequent need for recharging, remaining one of the cars that are etched in memory.

7 - Dacia Bigster (Dacia Bigster)
Dacia Bigster represents the ideal solution for those looking for a spacious and practical car at a reasonable price. It is a car that does not fear tough use, suitable for various daily lifestyles. It is available with multiple hybrid engine options, and versions with two-wheel and four-wheel drive, with a consumption reaching up to 61.4 miles per gallon.

8 – Kia PV5 (Kia PV5)
Although it is closer to a commercial vehicle than a traditional car, this car has strongly established itself. Its futuristic design and large capacity have made it a direct competitor to Volkswagen ID. Buzz, with clear advantages in price and practicality. Despite the lack of official confirmation of its launch in the American market, it deserves its place on this list.

9 - Kia Sportage (Kia Sportage)
Kia Sportage continues to shine as a balanced multi-purpose vehicle. It is practical, spacious, and attractively designed, and the latest update has enhanced its visual presence. Despite the absence of the diesel option, the car offers hybrid engines with a manual or automatic transmission, making it a reliable daily choice.

10 - Skoda Elroq (Skoda Elroq)
When it comes to value for the price, Skoda Elroq is hard to ignore. It can be considered the electric version of the Karoq. It is available in three versions with a range of between 232 and 360 miles, with generous technical equipment and a five-star safety rating, making it a complete electric family car, even if not available in the American market.
