Khaberni - Committee-chief Aref Al-Saaydeh stated that all exceptions in the amended electronic transactions law have been canceled.
Al-Saaydeh added in statements to "Al-Mamlaka" channel that the electronic register has the same evidential weight as handwritten documentation.
He noted that the law serves the Jordanian citizen and aligns with the vision of economic modernization.
He clarified that the law permits the use of electronic signatures.
Regarding the future of jobs under this law, Al-Saaydeh said that the law has no impact on available jobs, noting that the purpose is to facilitate for the citizens.
The House of Representatives, with a majority, approved on Monday, the amended electronic transactions law project for the year 2025, which includes seven articles.
This occurred during a legislative session held by the council, headed by the Speaker of the House Mazen Al-Qadi, and attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and members of the government team, where the council agreed on a proposal presented by a number of deputies, stipulating that this law will come into effect 30 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
