Launch of the Engineer Plus Program at the Engineers Syndicate Branch in Karak Governorate

Khaberni - The branch of the Jordanian Engineers Syndicate in Karak Governorate launched the  Engineer Plus program aiming to qualify and hone the engineers' skills and increase their readiness to enter the job market, in the presence of Syndicate Council members Engineer Emad Al-Dabbas, Engineer Haitham Shuqrah, Engineer Samir Al-Khatib, Secretary-General of the Syndicate Engineer Ali Nasser, and the President of the Syndicate branch in Karak Governorate Engineer Wissam Al-Majali, alongside branch council members, several engineers, and interested individuals, with Engineer Marwa Al-Adwan managing the event.

Engineer Emad Al-Dabbas, a member of the Syndicate Council, emphasized that the Engineers Syndicate plays a pivotal role in networking with the public and private sectors, which contributes to providing job opportunities and enhancing engineers' participation in national projects, in addition to its role in reducing the gap between the outputs of engineering education and the requirements of the job market in Jordan, through aligning training with market needs.

He pointed out that the Syndicate focuses on training and qualifying engineers across various specialties through the Engineering Training Academy, in addition to supporting young engineers and entrepreneurship and innovation projects through Ram Center for Entrepreneurship, as well as implementing the new professional accrediting and qualifying system aimed at enhancing the profession's efficiency and the quality of engineering outputs.

Dabbas explained that the Syndicate and the Architectural Division play an active role in organizing architectural competitions and graduation project awards, and holding forums and conferences that discuss issues of sustainability, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and challenges related to energy, water, and climate change, aligning with the Royal Vision and the economic modernization framework.

Engineer Wissam Al-Majali, President of the Karak branch council, welcomed the guests, praised the efforts of the branch committees, and affirmed the council's support for all aspects that enhance the profession and the engineers.

Engineer Al-Majali highlighted the importance of the program in changing the mechanisms of training programs at the branch, which positively reflects on the needs of the colleagues in general and recent graduates in particular, developing their tools and empowering their capabilities to interact with practical fields, stating that the program is one of the most important opportunities for qualification, training, empowerment, and transformation into a competent engineer capable of production and excellence.

Engineer Ahmed Al-Qatawneh, head of the program's preparatory committee, expressed his pride in the Engineers Syndicate - Karak branch, which he described as a commendable model in giving, achievement, and the continued excellence of union work, affirming the Syndicate's firm stance and support for the nation's causes, especially the Palestinian cause.

Al-Qatawneh reviewed the idea of the program, which was initiated by the Karak branch committees, adopted by the branch council, and supported until it was implemented, noting that the program is a comprehensive training track lasting three months, concerned with qualifying engineers through workshops and training courses starting with preparing resumes and passing job interviews, building a digital identity, to more advanced stages in smart analysis and digital engineering, covering a full package of training programs across various engineering specialties.

Engineer Safaa Al-Muhammed delivered a speech for the committees.

The program was inaugurated with three specialized training workshops, including an Ethics and Practice workshop presented by Engineer Sohaib Al-Sarayrah, a Digital Identity and Personal Branding workshop presented by Engineer Maher Al-Namari, and a Resume Writing workshop presented by Dr. Abdel Hakim Al-Ajarmah. The program will continue in its next three phases which include specialized workshops and courses over the coming days and months.

At the conclusion of the event, the Karak branch council awarded plaques to members of the Syndicate Council and the lecturers in appreciation of their efforts in making the program successful.
