Khaberni - Medical teams at the Jordanian Field Hospital in southern Gaza/8, on Sunday, performed a special surgery on a 21-year-old patient suffering from spleen enlargement due to anemia (thalassemia).
The hospital force commander stated on Monday that "the medical and nursing staff were able to perform the surgery with high efficiency, as part of the ongoing efforts made by the hospital to provide advanced medical services to brethren in the Gaza Strip, despite the challenges and difficult circumstances," explaining that the surgery was carried out by a specialized medical team with the participation of anesthesia and operational staff.
The general surgery specialist indicated that the patient’s condition required urgent surgical intervention due to his dependence on weekly blood transfusions, which led to iron accumulation in the body and its effect on the heart muscle, where the spleen was completely removed after completing the necessary medical procedures, and the operation was crowned with success.
The patient’s family expressed their gratitude and appreciation, valuing the humanitarian and medical efforts made by the staff of the Jordanian Field Hospital in alleviating the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip.
