The Faculty of Arts at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, in collaboration with the English Department, organized a free writing competition in English for short stories and poetry, in addition to essay writing for all university students, under the supervision of Dr. Maha Al-Qadi. The competition saw wide participation from students of the faculties of Arts, Business, Nursing, and Science. The organization of the competition aimed at enhancing the students' writing skills and encouraging them to use English in writing confidently and competently.
In this context, the Faculty of Arts aims to hone English communication skills among students and prepare them for the job market, as enhancing these linguistic abilities is a fundamental part of the faculty's learning outcomes. The competition witnessed notable interaction among students from various university faculties, providing them with an opportunity to exchange experiences in creative free writing and develop this skill.
