Claims for Social Security to disclose the numbers of lands purchased in Umrar Hanan Ashrawi returns to the forefront

Khaberni - Jordanian experts demanded the social security to immediately reveal the numbers of the land plots it purchased in the city of Umrah, which the government started constructing south of Amman.

In this context, architectural professor Murad Kalladeh tweeted, "I hope that the numbers of the plots purchased by the social security in Umrah and their usage types are disclosed, and it would be great if the Jordanian Company for Developing Cities and Government Facilities would publish the details of the master plan to encourage people to buy in the organized areas."
The chairman of the board of the Social Security Investment Fund, Omar Malhas, confirmed that the fund purchased lands in the first and second phases of the city of Umrah valued at 172 million dinars.
Via social media, Jordanian brokers who did not document their posts claimed that Palestinian leader Hanan Ashrawi owns thousands of dunams adjacent to the Umrah project and that she purchased these lands at a low price in previous years.
