Khaberni - In an academic and creative achievement that reflects the excellence of its students and the integration of its educational programs, Amman Ahliyya University achieved a notable academic success by securing second place in the English Language Test Axis within the Global English Language Olympiad for universities, placing among 55 participating teams. Yarmouk University claimed the first place, while An-Najah National University - Palestine took third place. This victory clearly indicates the advanced level of the university's students in linguistic proficiency and academic precision according to high competitive standards.
In addition to this quality achievement, the university won two more awards, represented in the Most Impactful Community Service Award and the Theatrical Presentation Award, which reflect the excellence of Amman Ahliyya University students in linguistic, creative, teamwork aspects, and the integration of their academic and applied skills.
The awards were distributed during the closing ceremony of the Olympiad, held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, with the presence of a number of officials, academics, and representatives of participating educational institutions.
This participation in this global event was under the direction of His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, and with direct supervision by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Professor Dr. Linda Al-Khawaja, and the Head of the English Department, Dr. Ahmad Shalby. The university was represented by two teams supervised by Dr. Khaled Al-Anber and Dr. Mohammed Al-Qatawneh from the English Department, with Dr. Saleh Hammad from the Faculty of Educational Sciences providing support and guidance for the teams in preparing their research projects.
Amman Ahliyya University expresses its pride in these achievements, which confirm the excellence of its students in the English language and its commitment to developing their linguistic skills according to international academic standards, thereby enhancing its stature in academic forums.
