Khaberni - The Acting Professions Syndicate in Egypt revealed details about the health condition of artist Edward, after photos of him in a wheelchair at one of the hospitals were shared, with news about him suffering from a serious health problem.
The syndicate confirmed in an official statement that Edward suffered a minor sprain in the foot, which is an emergency situation and not a cause for concern, indicating that his health is stable and very good, and he continues to lead his normal life without any health issues.
It is worth mentioning that last year, Edward revealed that he was diagnosed with kidney cancer, which began after he changed his physical appearance for a dramatic role, which led him to lose about 15 kilograms through the use of weight loss injections, causing severe health complications that resulted in an almost complete shutdown of the stomach. Subsequent examinations revealed the presence of a malignant tumor in half of the left kidney and a cyst on the right kidney.
Edward pointed out that he underwent surgery to remove the affected part of the kidney in January 2024, after suffering a sudden heart attack which led to undergoing catheterization and the placement of three stents in the heart, confirming that he received significant support from his colleagues in the art community during his treatment, but he preferred to keep the details of his illness away from the public and continue his artistic work as usual.
