Kuwait Owner of the program Offending Questions in the grip of the police

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced legal actions against one of the content creators on social media, after she published materials described as conflicting with public morals and societal values.

The ministry stated in an official statement that the competent authorities monitored the circulation of a video clip within a question program on social networking sites that included phrases and questions considered offensive to public decency, and that could undermine the ethical standards commonly recognized.

The statement clarified that the account owner was summoned, where she admitted to filming the clip and posting it on her social media accounts.

It added that the incident was referred to the Public Prosecution in coordination with the competent authorities, which concluded that the content of the circulated video falls within legally criminal actions, and accordingly, it was decided to refer the accused, accompanied by investigation reports, to the Media Prosecution to take the necessary legal actions.

The Ministry of Interior affirmed its commitment to continue monitoring any content that exceeds the laws or affects societal values, emphasizing the strict application of the prevailing regulations, in the context of maintaining public order and ensuring compliance with ethical standards in the digital space.
