Crown Prince Chairs a Meeting to Review the Executive Program for the Cleanliness Strategy

 

 His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, chaired today, Sunday, a meeting of the preparatory committee concerned with the executive program for the cleanliness strategy and the reduction of random waste disposal for the years 2026-2027.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Environment in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, discussed the axes and plans set by the committee for the executive program recently launched by the government.

His Highness, the Crown Prince emphasized the importance of government efforts to reduce random waste disposal in public places, noting that dealing with economic and regional challenges should not prevent focus on a basic matter like cleanliness in public places.

His Highness pointed out that the attention to cleanliness in public places stems from a religious and moral duty and is a pivotal element in the performance of some vital economic sectors such as tourism.

His Highness, the Crown Prince, stressed the need for coordination with all concerned parties to increase community awareness, improve infrastructure, and adopt any ideas that contribute to the program's success, which requires collective efforts.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister confirmed that the government will begin implementing the axes of the cleanliness strategy and reducing random waste disposal in coordination with all concerned parties, explaining that this program is not a temporary campaign, but a continuous work program based on implementing cleanliness campaigns, awareness programs, and stringent measures to enforce the law against violators.

The Prime Minister mentioned that the meeting held by the concerned committee to implement this program last week, during which the roles and what is required from each party were clearly defined, pointing out that the campaign will focus on schools, universities, mosques, in addition to enhancing monitoring tools against violators.

Minister of Environment Dr. Ayman Sulaiman provided an explanation about the executive program, which included the program’s goals, its desired impact, its main outputs according to a timeline, and the roles of the responsible parties in implementation.
