The Chief of the Joint Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Huneiti, met on Sunday in his office at the General Command with the Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom, Gou Wei.
Major General Al-Huneiti discussed with the guest various aspects of cooperation and joint coordination in different defense fields between the armed forces of the two friendly countries, ways to enhance them, as well as discussing a number of issues of mutual interest. He praised the level of relations linking the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the People's Republic of China, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation to serve common interests.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, in enhancing security and stability in the region, affirming his country's keenness to develop cooperation relations with Jordan in various fields.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Chinese military attaché in Amman.
