Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority and the Jordan Water Company, Miyahuna, and DEWACO announced the intention to stop the pumping of Disi water next week from Sunday morning 28/12/5202 until Thursday morning 1/1/2026; for 96 hours for the annual scheduled preventive maintenance by the company operating the Disi water project on several facilities of the Disi water system.
The Ministry/Water Authority explained that the stoppage is intended to carry out scheduled annual maintenance to ensure the continuity of water supply to all areas and subscribers, noting that the scheduled stoppage will partially affect several specified areas in the Amman and Zarqa governorates.
The Ministry/Water Authority and Miyahuna urged citizens to take necessary precautions and prepare well during this week, by storing sufficient amounts of water to meet subscribers' needs during this pause, explaining that the Disi water project is a BOT system project where the operating company handles the project's operation and maintenance of all facilities to ensure its efficiency throughout the year.
