Khaberni - Immediate telephonic first aid instructions provided by the civil defense personnel in Zarqa saved a 25-year-old girl after she experienced severe choking due to swallowing a piece of garlic which blocked her airway.
The operations room officer at Zarqa Civil Defense, Second Lieutenant Ali Al-Maaytah, explained that the girl's family contacted the operations room immediately after the incident, where they were provided with precise first aid instructions over the phone, enabling them to quickly handle the situation.
He added that the instructions given contributed to the girl regaining her breathing and her vital signs returning to normal completely, without the need to transport her to the hospital. He noted that the prompt contact and adherence to instructions were decisive in saving her life.
