Khaberni - The Technical College at the Middle East University held a specialized panel discussion titled: "Health Laws, Violations, Key Issues, and Legal Handling Mechanisms", aimed at enhancing legal awareness among nursing students.
The seminar was attended by a member of the Nurses' Syndicate and Nursing Council, Zuheir Muslim, and attorney Dr. Hiyam Al-Shawabkeh.
The seminar addressed the legal framework governing the health sector in Jordan, clarified the concept of health violations, differentiated them from professional errors, and outlined the legal responsibilities associated with each, in a context that considers the protection of the rights of both patients and healthcare workers alike.
The seminar also discussed the law on job modifications and the updated job description for the nursing staff, its impact on job titles, scope of authority, professional responsibilities, and the resulting legal obligations during practical practice.
