Khaberni - In line with the vision of Arab Amman University to enhance its community role and guide students toward choosing their university majors in accordance with job market requirements, the College of Business, through its Marketing and Management Information Systems departments, organized a field visit to Rashid Tali'a Secondary School for Boys in the capital Amman, with the participation of several faculty members and college students.
During the visit, faculty members presented an awareness lecture to students on the foundations and mechanisms of choosing the appropriate university major based on the student’s interests and capabilities, the importance of keeping up with rapid changes in the job market, focusing on in-demand specializations that are experiencing growth and future job opportunities, and avoiding specializations suffering from stagnation or job saturation.
Representatives of the College of Business emphasized that this visit is part of Arab Amman University's commitment to guiding pre-university students to make well-informed academic decisions, thereby enhancing their future prospects for employment and professional success. They highlighted the increasing importance of specializations related to business, digital marketing, and management information systems, and their pivotal role in supporting the digital economy and enhancing the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The lecture included interactive discussions with students, where their inquiries regarding the nature of university specializations, study requirements, and skills needed to excel in the job market were addressed, with a focus on the importance of developing digital and practical skills alongside academic attainment. At the end of the visit, the management of Rashid Tali'a Secondary School expressed their appreciation to Arab Amman University and the College of Business for this awareness initiative, emphasizing the importance of enhancing partnership and cooperation between universities and secondary schools in guiding students and building their academic and professional awareness, thereby helping them to chart their educational and career paths in a well-informed and sound manner.
