Liverpool defeated their host Tottenham Hotspur (2-1) on Saturday, in the 17th round of the Premier League, in a match that witnessed injuries and more than one red card for the home players.
Liverpool's double strike was delivered by Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike in the 56th and 66th minutes, respectively, while Richarlison scored the only goal for Tottenham (83’).
The match saw Xavi Simons sent off in the 30th minute, after he tackled Van Dijk from behind.
In addition, defender Romero was also sent off after assaulting Konate off the ball, receiving a second caution and being dismissed during stoppage time.
With this result, Liverpool climbed to the fifth position reaching 29 points, while Tottenham slipped to the thirteenth place, halting at 22 points.
