Khaberni - Saudi media reported that Al-Nassr club received a severe blow after being subjected to a suspension of player registrations, which threatens its position in contracting new deals in the upcoming winter transfer period.
"Al-Riyadi" newspaper explained, that the decision of the international football federation to suspend Al-Nassr from player registrations was due to a complaint from Manchester City over the non-payment of one of the instalments owed following the transfer of Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte from "Sky Blue" to "Yellow" during the summer transfers of 2023.
It added: "The amount of the complaint submitted by Manchester City to the international federation, is estimated at 9 million euros with the payment due date on 31st August (August) last year".
The newspaper pointed out that the suspension will be lifted from Al-Nassr Saudi Club once the due payment is made.
After two seasons with the "Yellow" badge, the club sold Laporte last summer to Athletic Bilbao of Spain, and the defender 31 years old played 69 matches with Al-Nassr, and since his return to Bilbao, his former club before City, he has played 13 matches.
The latest list issued by the international football federation of clubs banned from registering players includes 15 Saudi teams alongside Al-Nassr, including Al-Shabab, Damac, and Riyadh from the Roshan Saudi League.
