The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs welcomed, on Friday, the decision to cancel the sanctions imposed on the Syrian Arab Republic, an important step towards supporting Syria's efforts in rebuilding and enhancing recovery steps and realizing its people's aspirations for development and prosperity.
The ministry's spokesperson, Fouad Al-Majali, confirmed the Kingdom's welcome of the decision, which reaffirms the international will to support Syria in rebuilding and to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people.
He also confirmed the Kingdom's appreciation for the efforts of the American President Donald Trump in his decision to lift the sanctions on the Syrian Arab Republic. Al-Majali renewed the confirmation on the Kingdom's steadfast position in supporting Syria in rebuilding on foundations that ensure its unity, sovereignty, security, stability, territorial integrity, and the rights of all Syrians.
