The technical director of the Jordanian national team, Jamal Salami, confirmed his continuation with the Nashama, stating that he has a football project in Jordan and when I feel that the project has been completed, I will request to leave.
In the press conference following the Arab Cup final, he announced that he will lead the Jordanian Olympic team (under 23 years) during the upcoming Asian Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
Salami explained that the Jordanian Football Association has asked him to manage the youth national team for the under 23 Asian Championship, considering it a supply line for the senior team, in a step that can be considered the nucleus of a project similar to Morocco’s.
He added: "Our next goal is to prepare the under-23 team for the Asian Cup, and we have exceptional players".
Salami emphasized that "it is too early to talk about the national team roster for the World Cup".
He continued, "The Jordanian fans have the ambition for us to have a remarkable presence in the World Cup".
