The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate reiterated the warning to citizens about the dangers of using unsafe heaters, known colloquially as Shamooseh, because they cause suffocation incidents that may lead to serious injuries and fatalities, God forbid.
The spokesperson confirmed that the civil defense teams are still dealing with a number of reports of suffocation injuries from people who continue to use this type of heater (Shamooseh), and thankfully all the cases handled were moderate.
The spokesperson called on everyone to take this warning seriously again, emphasizing its utmost importance, and to refrain from using these heaters under any circumstances. This is a message for everyone and for anyone who knows someone using them to fulfill their human and social duty by warning and helping them to dispose of them, as they are a lethal tool inside homes.
