The technical director of the national football team, Jamal Salami, said that he has a football project in Jordan stating: "I have a project in Jordan and when I feel that the project has been completed, I will ask to leave".
Salami conveyed from His Highness the Crown Prince his statement: "His Majesty King Abdullah II will grant him Jordanian citizenship".
He mentioned that the team delivered a fantastic match in the final, noting that the ambition was to achieve a better result; however, the performance reflected high spirit and exceptional level.
Salami added in his remarks after the final match of the Arab Cup 2025, that the Jordanian people and the fans of Jordanian football are all proud of what the players have delivered in terms of effort and combativeness on the field, affirming that all team members gave their best throughout the tournament.
The technical director emphasized at the end of his remarks the technical and administrative staff and the players' aspiration to build on this achievement, and to work on delivering better levels in upcoming events.
The Nashama team finished as runners-up in the Arab Cup 2025, after losing in the final match against the Moroccan team by three goals to two, in the encounter hosted by Lusail International Stadium in Qatar this Thursday evening.
