The Egyptian Acting Profession Syndicate has decided to take action against Miss Egypt Irina Yousry for practicing acting without the required legal permit.
The syndicate has also decided to take legal action against the companies that dealt with her in artistic works, thereby violating the provisions of the profession regulation law.
This decision comes within the framework of the syndicate's commitment to applying the rules and regulations governing the practice of the profession, which require anyone practicing acting — whether in cinema, television, or theater — to have a union membership or a formal work permit.
Irina Yousry had sparked controversy on social media after her comment on a post by Mostafa Abu Sari'e, where he announced his divorce, writing: "Congratulations Tootie", which some interpreted as indicating a relationship between them that was the cause of the divorce, leading the actress to change the comment format, writing: "May God bless you in Adam and Noah".
Irina Yousry is participating in the upcoming Ramadan season in the series "Everyone Loves Moody", starring Yasser Galal, written by Ayman Salama and directed by Ahmed Shafiq, and featuring performances by: Mervat Amin, Ayten Amer, Reham El-Shenawany, Mostafa Abu Sari'e, Hoda El-Etrbi, Mohsen Mansour, Jodi Masoud, Iman Youssef, Jouri Baker, Mostafa Mansour, and others, with the events unfolding in a social light comedy framework.
