Deputy asks the government Is the Director of Standards the only one responsible

Khaberni - Deputy Ahmad Al-Humaisat directed a parliamentary question to the Prime Minister, based on the provisions of articles (96) of the Constitution and (123) of the Internal Regulation of the House of Representatives, in which he inquired about the legal and administrative basis for the decision to send the Director-General of the Standards and Metrology Institution to retirement on an accelerated administrative decision by the Council of Ministers.

Al-Humaisat demanded clarification on how justice turned into an urgent administrative decision, and also inquired about the reports of the relevant bodies handling the investigations, particularly the Royal Scientific Society and the Civil Defense, and whether they had attributed any responsibilities to the institution or its management that would necessitate this action.

Furthermore, the deputy raised a question about the extent to which the Standards and Metrology Institution alone bears the responsibility in the controversial cases, or whether the decision represents a personal targeting of its general director, calling on the government to provide clear and documented responses to enhance the principles of transparency and rule of law.

Al-Humaisat emphasized at the end of his parliamentary question the importance of respecting the constitutional and procedural frameworks in making administrative decisions, ensuring justice and preventing arbitrary use of powers.
