Khaberni - In the last 24 hours, the Royal Jordanian company operated 11 flights to Qatar, carrying about 2000 passengers, to support the national football team in its final match of the Arab Cup 2025 against the Moroccan team.
The Royal Jordanian confirmed in a statement to "Al-Mamlaka" on Thursday, that these flights include 8 additional flights and 3 scheduled ones, and they come within the framework of supporting the Nashama team, which aims to win the title for the first time in its history in the final match between the national team and its Moroccan counterpart at exactly seven o'clock in the evening on Thursday, at Lusail Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The company explained that the capacity of the airplanes ranges between 100 and 200 passengers, while it revealed an increase in the number of flights by 8 additional flights at discounted prices, where the price of a round-trip ticket reached 200 dinars, to facilitate travel for fans and support for the national team.
On his part, Samer Majali, the CEO of Royal Jordanian, said that the company was keen to double the number of flights to Doha to meet the high demand for travel, especially after the national team qualified for the final, reflecting the size of the popular incentive to support it.
Majali added that flights at discounted prices were provided to facilitate the travel of fans, through coordination with relevant authorities to meet the needs of the Jordanian fans.
Mahmoud Khasawneh, representing the Association of Tourism and Travel Agents, mentioned that the demand for flights to Doha has seen a significant increase after the national team's qualification to the final, noting that many fans have arrived in Qatar since the quarter-final and semi-final matches, which has significantly increased the demand for flights.
These efforts come at a crucial time for the Jordanian national team, which aims to achieve a historic achievement by winning its first title in the Arab Cup.
The final match between the Nashama and the Moroccan team is a decisive encounter on Thursday evening, with broad popular and official support from the Jordanian citizens, whether inside Jordan or in Qatar.
This final is the first of its kind in the history of the national team, which reached it after topping Group C in the tournament, with 9 points, with victories over UAE 2-1, Kuwait 3-1, and Egypt 3-0, and continued to advance in the following rounds with a win over Iraq 1-0 in the quarterfinals, and then over Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the semifinals.
The national team enjoys significant moral support from the Jordanian fans in Qatar, which enhances the players' determination to achieve this historic accomplishment. The team qualified for the final match, securing at least two cash prizes, as it is confirmed to receive 4 million dollars, with the possibility of raising the amount to 7 million dollars if they win the title.
The prizes for the Arab Cup 2025 total about 36 million dollars, adding more financial incentives for the participating teams, while the national team seeks to crown its journey with its first title in this important tournament.
Concurrently with the preparations for the final match, the Nashama held a final training session on Wednesday under the leadership of Moroccan coach Jamal Salami, who had prepared the ideal lineup for this decisive match.
