Khaberni - Sanaa police in Yemen announced on Wednesday the capture of suspects responsible for the murder of a man and his wife on Kholan Street, in an incident that caused significant uproar on social media.
The Yemeni Security Media of the Interior Ministry of the Sanaa government stated in its announcement: "The Capital Secretariat police managed to arrest suspects involved in the murder of a man and a woman on Kholan Street."
The police explained that they received a report about two individuals traveling in a Toyota Fortuner shooting at a man and his wife, resulting in their immediate death. Following this, the security forces moved to the crime scene, where it was confirmed that the victims were named Hisham Hameed Ali Al-Dhibaee and his wife.
The police added that they commenced investigative and follow-up procedures, and were able to identify the perpetrators and apprehend them, namely:
- Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Ali Ahmed Majli, 25 years old.
- Mr. Radman Ali Ahmed Ahmed Majli, 37 years old.
Both are from the people of Kholan, Jehana District in Sanaa Governorate.
The "Capital Secretariat" police noted that "the apprehension was carried out in cooperation with the security of Sanaa Governorate, confirming that the investigations are still ongoing to determine the motive of the crime and to complete the necessary legal proceedings.
This crime had caused a significant uproar among activists on social media, who demanded immediate accountability for the perpetrators.
