Local reports confirmed that the strike did not include direct Disney employees, but rather cleaning workers contracted through the "Onet" company, which provides cleaning services for most of Disneyland Paris parks and hotels.
Khaberni - Disneyland Paris, the famous amusement park, witnessed a state of unexpected chaos after the cleaning workers announced a strike protesting against tough working conditions, leading visitors to face shocking scenes of trash piles throughout the park.
A number of visitors reported that the magic of "Disneyland" disappeared with the deterioration of cleanliness levels, as images and videos shared on social media showed scattered paper and trash near the main Disneyland Paris train station and the luxurious Disney Hotel.
The company clarified that the workers' protests aim to improve working conditions, while some noted that there is a long history of tension between Onet and Disneyland Paris management regarding the responsibilities each party bears.
This strike comes as Disneyland Paris is preparing for more development and updates, including transforming Walt Disney Studios Park into "Disney Adventure World," with new areas inspired by movies like Frozen, Tangled, and Lion King, making the management of labor relations a crucial element to ensure the visitor experience and the continuity of the park's enchantment.
