Khaberni - Due to the prevailing weather conditions, and the possibility of frost and icing in the early morning, and to ensure the safety of students and administrative and educational bodies, a number of directors from the education directorates in the southern regions of the kingdom have decided to delay the school day.
The Director of Education for the Tafilah region, Mr. Imran Al-Lasassma, in coordination with the Governor of Tafilah, Dr. Sultan Al-Madi, has decided to postpone the school day for students in public and private schools to 10:00 AM on Thursday the 18th of December, while the employees of the Directorate of Education shall start their day at 9:00 AM.
The Director of Education for the Karak region, Mr. Nidal Al-Fateenat, in coordination with the Acting Governor of Karak, Mr. Mohammed Mashhour Abu Tayeh, has decided to delay the school day for students in public and private schools to 10:00 AM on Thursday, the 18th of December, due to the prevailing weather conditions and the possibility of frost and icing in the early morning hours, out of concern for the safety of students and administrative and educational bodies, while the employees of the Director of Education will start at 9:00 AM.
The Director of Education for the Shobak district, Mr. Ali Al-Nuaimat, in coordination with the administrative governor of Shobak district, has decided to delay the school day for Thursday, the 18th of December 2025, for students, administrative and teaching bodies, and for the directorate employees at 10:00 AM.
In addition, the Director of Education for the Petra district, Dr. Tahani Al-Salamen, in coordination with the administrative governor of the Petra district, has decided to delay the school day for Thursday, the 18th of December 2025, for students, administrative and teaching bodies, and directorate employees to 9:00 AM.
The Director of Education for the Southern Mazar district, Dr. Ali Al-Faqira, coordinated with the administrative governor of the Southern Mazar district, Dr. Ali Al-Hayseh, and they decided this Wednesday evening to delay the school day for students on Thursday in public and private schools under the Directorate to 10:00 AM, and the directorate employees will start at 9:00 AM.
The Director of Education for Al-Qasr district, Dr. Zahera Bani Atiyah, in coordination with the administrative governors of Al-Qasr, Ismat Al-Qaralleh, and Faqou’, Ali Al-Zaidan, have decided this Wednesday evening to delay the school day for students on Thursday in public and private schools under the Directorate to 10:00 AM, while the directorate employees will start at 9:00 AM.
Dr. Ali Al-Faqira clarified that this decision is due to the prevailing weather conditions, and the possibility of frost and icing in the early morning, and out of concern for the safety of students and administrative and teaching bodies.
The Director of Education for the Ma'an region, Dr. Adnan Al-Habashneh, in coordination with the Governor of Ma'an, Mr. Khaled Al-Hajjaj, has decided to delay the school day for students in public schools to 9:00 AM on Thursday, December 18, 2025, where teachers and students will begin at 8:45 AM, and classes and exams will start at 9:00 AM.
The Director of Education for the Bseira district, Dr. Jaza' Al-Refa'i, in coordination with the administrative governor of Bseira district, Dr. As'ad Al-Lasassma, has decided to delay the school day in Bseira district to 10:00 AM this Thursday, while the directorate employees will start at 9:00 AM, in anticipation of the formation of ice in the early morning hours, and to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
