Khaberni - The Federal Association of Hearing Specialists in Germany said that the efficiency of medical earpieces can be maintained during winter by cleaning them daily with a soft and lint-free cloth.
The association added that condensation poses another challenge for medical earpieces, as moisture may accumulate inside the earpiece, potentially causing damage.
To avoid this, the earpiece should not be left near heaters or using a hairdryer, as heat may also cause damage. It is best to store the earpiece overnight in a drying box, which removes moisture from the earpiece.
