Khaberni - The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said on Wednesday that Jordanian diplomacy is very active, emphasizing that Jordan, under its wise leadership, is always keen on hosting Arab and international events to enhance joint action.
He added via "Al-Mamlaka" that Jordan is at the heart of regional events.
In his talk about the Palestinian issue, Abu Al-Gheit confirmed that the displacement of Palestinians from their land will not happen.
Regarding the Gaza agreement, he said that the United States has taken it upon itself to ensure the ceasefire in Gaza and to rehabilitate the sector.
Abu Al-Gheit urged those carrying arms in Gaza to show flexibility.
"The weapon was used for two and a half years and ended up causing this terrifying destruction against the opponent who owns a fighter jet and a tank," according to Abu Al-Gheit.
He continued: "We move to the second phase in the ceasefire agreement in Gaza through diplomatic work."
He called for the continuation of diplomatic work to pressure Israel, and not to provide it with the justification to do what they want to do.
He stressed the necessity of stripping Israel of any excuse to continue the war, calling for opening diplomatic pathways to implement the second phase of the Gaza agreement.
Regarding Sudan, he said: "What is happening is a major tragedy, where we find ourselves in an enviable situation."
