Manchester United Complains to FIFA About Morocco

Khaberni - Manchester United is upset with the Moroccan national team for preventing their player Nasser Mazraoui from playing with the team against Bournemouth on Monday in the Premier League soccer match.

The Moroccan national team, which begins its campaign in the African Nations Cup finals hosted against the Comoros team next Sunday, decided to call up Mazraoui, aged 28, while FIFA recently confirmed the start of the period for international players to join the national teams participating in the continental competition on Monday.

Manchester United met its guest Bournemouth that night and was unable to field Mazraoui in the match which ended in a 4-4 draw, after the Moroccan Football Federation refused to allow the player, who is proficient in playing in several positions, to participate.

PA Media reported that the matter was taken up with FIFA, where Manchester United felt a great disappointment and felt that it was unfairly penalized due to this specific match schedule.

Portuguese manager of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, expected Mazraoui, who had trained with his teammates the previous Sunday before leaving the team, to be ready to participate.

On the other hand, Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo were able to play against Bournemouth after Manchester United held fruitful discussions with the football federations of Cameroon and Ivory Coast respectively.
