Khaberni - The Chief of the Joint Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Hunaity, on Wednesday, sponsored the graduation of the Counter-Terrorism/1 course at the Special Forces and Counter-Terrorism Training Wing affiliated to the Prince Hashem bin Hussein School for Special Forces Training.
Major General Al-Hunaity, in the presence of several senior armed forces officers, listened to a briefing given by the wing commander about the course and the skills acquired by the participants over 24 weeks, which included advanced physical fitness training, various shooting exercises, storming operations, first aid, and communications, in addition to mountain rappelling and descending from helicopters, with the participation of female members, aimed at enhancing operational readiness in the planning and execution of counter-terrorism tasks and dealing with various threats.
The Chief of the Joint Staff also followed an exercise that showed a high level of professionalism in handling explosives and combat in urban areas using the latest equipment and technologies.
Major General Al-Hunaity praised the efforts of those in charge of the course and the outstanding level demonstrated by the graduates, highlighting the importance of these courses in honing the skills of the special forces personnel and enhancing their efficiency with the latest global methods in the field of counter-terrorism, confirming that the Jordanian Armed Forces will remain the strong shield of the homeland, and that the pursuit of development and modernization continues to ensure the enhancement of combat capabilities and the maintenance of the highest degrees of readiness.
