AlAhmad Calls for Activating the Partnership Between the Two Health Sectors to Reduce Costs and Shorten Waiting Times

Health management expert, Ahmad Al-Ahmad, called for activating the partnership between the public and private sectors in Jordan, through purchasing medical services from the private sector, with the aim of reducing waiting lists and costs, especially in the fields of natural and cesarean births, and complex surgeries for the heart, brain, and nerves, in addition to magnetic resonance imaging services.

This came during an interview on "Al-Mamlaka" channel, where he discussed the general budget project for the year 2026, which is about to be adopted.

Al-Ahmad also called for expanding the base of beneficiaries from the government health insurance to include the first, second, and third job grades with greater flexibility, emphasizing that these recommendations aim to enhance the partnership, not privatization, by utilizing the capabilities of private hospitals instead of building new government hospitals, especially in the capital, Amman.
