SecretaryGeneral of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs AlFayez Discusses Jordanian Diplomacy with Middle East Media Students

Khaberni - The College of Media at the Middle East University hosted the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, in a dialogue session with college students, during which he discussed the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in managing regional and international files, and the mechanisms of Jordanian diplomatic work in light of the rapidly changing political dynamics at both regional and international levels.

The session was attended by the Dean of the College of Media, Dr. Ramez Abu Hasira, faculty members, and a group of students.

Al-Fayez spoke about the methodology of the Foreign Ministry in dealing with foreign issues, explaining that Jordanian policy is based on clear constants focused on protecting national interests, maintaining stability, and building balanced relationships based on mutual respect and international law. He pointed out that Jordanian diplomatic work relies on institutional planning and continuous coordination with various state institutions.

Al-Fayez pointed out that Jordanian diplomacy combines consistency in positions and flexibility in tools, allowing Jordan to handle complex and sensitive files without compromising its national constants. He highlighted the importance of media in conveying the true image of Jordanian positions and facing misinformation in the open digital space.

In a related context, the President of the University’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Yaqoub Nasser Al-Din, met with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, on the sidelines of the dialogue session, praising the proactive and effective approach of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who leads Jordanian diplomacy based on a precise reading of power balances and regional transformations, and direct communication with world leaders, which has contributed to reinforcing Jordan’s position as a reliable partner and a respected voice in regional and international issues, notably the Palestinian cause and security and stability in the region.

The session witnessed significant interaction from the students of the College of Media, who posed questions about diplomatic work pathways, the role of media in supporting foreign policy, and career prospects in the diplomatic corps.
