Khaberni - Media reports have confirmed that Santos Club is close to concluding the renewal file for its star Neymar Junior, after negotiations between the two parties have reached advanced stages in the recent days, amid a shared desire to continue the player with the team, despite his current contract nearing its end at the end of this month.
Network ESPN mentioned that according to available data, Santos management has reached a preliminary agreement with Neymar's representatives, led by his father and agent Neymar da Silva Sr., about the main outlines of the new contract, in a step that reflects the club's intention to retain its prominent star in the coming phase.
It elaborated: "The proposed offer includes extending the contract for six months, which means Neymar's stay with Santos until the 2026 World Cup, which gives the player the opportunity to continue in a familiar environment, alongside maintaining his technical and physical readiness before the anticipated global event."
It added: "Santos management is striving to close this file as soon as possible, to avoid any potential complications with Neymar entering free agency, especially given the significant media attention on his future, and what he represents in terms of artistic and marketing value for the club."
It continued: "All indicators seem positive regarding Neymar’s continuation with Santos, a decision that may carry significant sports and moral dimensions for both the club and the player, as one of the most important stages in the Brazilian star’s career approaches."
