Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Odyan, President of Amman Arab University, the university, represented by the Dean of Student Affairs, College of Pharmacy, and the Health Center, in cooperation with the Saudi Cultural Attaché, Al Awal Insurance Company, and Royal Hospital, organized the "Free Medical Day" events as part of the “Muzn Amman Arab” initiatives, on the university campus, with the participation of many supporting entities including: the National Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Genetics, Smart Labs, the Arab Medical Relief Association, Jordan Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, International Pharmaceutical Company, Jordanian Company for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Al Shajarah Al Mubarakah Company, Arab Eyes Medical and Surgical Center, Orchidia for Eye Drops, Unified Mission for Relief, Al Ghattas Drugstore, and Ibn Sina Drugstore.
The "Free Medical Day" events come within the framework of Amman Arab University’s commitment to enhance its community role, by providing quality and comprehensive medical services to the local community, students, staff, and their families. The medical day included a wide range of specialized clinical services, pharmacy, and medical laboratories, including general medicine, ophthalmology, gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, nutrition, audiology, mental health, and medical laboratories, with medications and medical supplies provided free of charge to attendees.
This activity is part of the ongoing cooperation between Amman Arab University and the Saudi Cultural Attaché, reflecting both sides' eagerness to enhance the participation of Saudi students in Jordanian universities in extracurricular activities and community initiatives. This cooperation enables students to actively engage in health and volunteer initiatives, enhancing their practical skills, developing their leadership capabilities, and supporting their positive integration into the Jordanian university environment.
At the close of the event, Saudi students from various Jordanian universities participating in the "Free Medical Day" at Amman Arab University were honored, in recognition of their valuable efforts and effective contribution to the success of this day. Additionally, students from the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, who assisted in dispensing medications to attendees, as well as various entities participating in making the medical day a success, expressed their pride in this experience, confirming the importance of volunteer work in serving the community, and their gratitude to Amman Arab University for hosting such initiatives.
